Think2030: Dialogue, Sustainability & Competitiveness

About the project

The Think2030 Dialogue is an international discussion platform dedicated to sustainable development policy in the EU. Meetings are held in the EU Member States holding the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU. The Warsaw edition, coinciding with the Polish Presidency in the first half of 2025, was held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Presidency and the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

The aim of the initiative is to create a forum for debate on environmental and climate policy. The agenda for the Warsaw event focused on the priorities of the Polish Presidency. The Reform Institute co-organised this international event as part of the Think2030 Dialogue. It was responsible for developing the event’s concept to align with the priorities of the Polish Presidency, as well as for co-creating the agenda for the expert panels and coordinating communication activities. These activities also included moderating the dialogue between stakeholders and preparing a summary of the conclusions and recommendations developed during the expert panels.

The project successfully delivered an international event attended by policymakers, Polish and European experts, and business representatives. This led to the production of briefs containing recommendations on the direction of climate and industrial policy in the EU. The initiative facilitated the exchange of experience between representatives of various sectors and strengthened the presence of Polish experts in the European debate on the transition. By combining analysis, dialogue and international cooperation, the initiative helps to improve public policies that take into account both climate objectives and the economic needs of Member States.

The Reform Institute was a co-organiser of the Warsaw edition of the conference. The project was carried out in collaboration with the European think tank, the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) – the coordinator of the entire Think2030 Dialogue conference series – and with the participation of the Green Economy Institute (now the Institute for Sustainable Economy).
