The Reform Institute organized another Roundtable discussion on areas of the Renewable Acceleration Areas (OPRO). The aim of the meeting was to initiate a discussion with representatives of the European Commission, industry organizations, and non-governmental organizations on the challenges related to the implementation of the directive in Poland, so that the implemented regulations would optimally respond to the needs of the Polish energy transition. 

Rafał Bajczuk, Senior Analyst for Climate and Energy Policy at the Reform Institute, presented the Institute’s main recommendations for implementing RAA in Poland. The European Commission’s guidelines were discussed by Marta Andreas Vaquero, Policy Officer at the Directorate-General for Energy. 

This was followed by a moderated debate comparing the views of legislators, industry organizations, and non-governmental organizations. The participants included Katarzyna Jabłońska-Przywecka (Polish Photovoltaic Association), Martyna Tomaszek (Polish Wind Energy Association), Miłosz Jakubowski (Frank Bold), and Aleksander Śniegocki (Reform Institute).
