RES Acceleration Areas: Towards Systemic Solutions for Green Investments – summary of the Reform Institute roundtable

About the project

The Reform Institute has launched a series of meetings on renewable energy sources acceleration areas. The first roundtable was held on February 22, 2024.

EU regulations and instruments supporting the implementation of the areas were presented by Izabela Zygmunt, European Semester and European Green Deal Specialist at the European Commission Representation in Warsaw.

Rafał Bajczuk, Senior Analyst for Climate and Energy Policy at the Reform Institute set the discussion in the context of the challenges of energy transition in Poland.

The government's perspective was provided by Łukasz Tomaszewski, Director of the RES Department of the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

Representatives of the sector - Ewa Magiera, CEO of the Polish Photovoltaics Association, and Weronika Kupczyk, Onshore Regulatory Specialist of the Polish Wind Energy Association - presented their views on the discussed matter. Furthermore, the commentary was provided by experts - Attorney Miłosz Jakubowski, Legal Counsel at the Frank Bold Foundation, and Dr Christian Schnell, Co-Head of Dentons Europe Energy Sector Group.
