Negotiations on the final implementation of the REPowerEU plan are still ongoing, but from the perspective of Polish energy and climate policy, it is already necessary to understand the gap between the targets set by REPowerEU and current national regulations in this area. Regardless of the final shape of the EU provisions, the current crisis is forcing an acceleration of investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. It is already necessary to work on national regulations that will respond to the challenges Poland will face in the coming years in a new, much more demanding political and economic environment.<\/p>\n
The REPowerEU plan aims, among other things, to solve the problem of slow and complicated procedures for granting permits for investments in renewable energy sources, to recognise the development of renewable energy sources as an overriding public interest, and to introduce renewable energy target areas (go-to areas). This topic is the subject of a new report by the Reform Institute, Clean energy as a recipe for the energy crisis.<\/p>\n
